March Action Day

In 2015 we want to see Gordon Birtwistle re-elected as MP for Burnley and Padiham. On 28th March we will be holding an Action Day as we get ready for Parliament to dissolve, officially kicking off the election season!

Thank you to everyone who attended our Campaign Launch Party in February! The turnout was fantastic and everyone had a lot of fun.

Since first being elected in 2010, Gordon Birtwistle has been a strong MP for Burnley and Padiham. After decades of neglect by Labour, Gordon has won millions of pounds worth of investment into the town by government and businesses.

Here are just some of Gordon's achievements in Burnley and Padiham:

  • Unemployment fallen by more than half
  • £9m new Emergency Unit at Burnley General Hospital after Labour closed our A&E
  • Over 4,700 more apprentices than in 2010 - apprenticeships on offer have more than doubled
  • New University Technical College teaching young people vocational skills, within the new Weavers' Triangle development
  • New industrial sites at Burnley Bridge and the former Michelin sites bringing in thousands of new jobs
  • From 18th May 2015 we will see the first direct trains to Manchester from Burnley in over 40 years

Join us on Saturday March 28th to get involved in the campaign! We had a great attendance at our Campaign Launch in February and I hope we will see even more people at this weekend!
